Something good is taking root 🌱
Good Neighbour Gardens
Giving back to the community has been a fundamental part of the credit union model since it began decades ago. This summer and fall, we are proud to launch a community placemaking project: Good Neighbour Gardens! These gardens are vibrant, welcoming spaces where neighbours can grow food, build connections and strengthen community resilience.
Genesis
The Genesis Centre is a vibrant community hub in Northeast Calgary. Together, we’ve launched a garden and built hydroponic towers that brings neighbours together to grow food, share stories, and strengthen community connections. Fresh produce will be donated locally, supporting food access for residents and used for food-based community programs.
Land of Dreams
Hosted by the Calgary Catholic Immigrant Society, Land of Dreams is an urban farm just outside Calgary, where newcomers and Indigenous communities come together to exchange culture-based food knowledge and build a sense of belonging! Produce and food grown goes directly back to these community groups.

Lethbridge
In partnership with the Lethbridge Seniors Citizen Organization (LSCO) and local high school students, this garden bridges generations. Food grown in hydroponic towers will directly support the LSCO’s Meals on Wheels program, creating a powerful cycle of growing, giving, and caring for community.
