Beaumont Community Charitable Foundation donates $5,000 to Leduc & District Food Bank and $7,500 to the Edmonton Food Bank to support the Life Skills Learning and Beyond Food programs.
Edmonton, AB – July 6, 2020 – In June 2020 the Beaumont Community Charitable Foundation announced it donated $5,000 and $7,500 respectively to the Leduc & District Food Bank and the Edmonton Food Bank to support the immediate and future needs of families and individuals in the community.
The donation will help low income individuals move forward with important life skills including free employment assistance, English & Math upgrading, budget advice, personal counselling and information on affordable housing.
“Supporting our local food banks is more important than ever. Across the Province, demand for basic needs increased as the unemployment rate climbed to 15.5% in May 2020”, said Foundation Chair David Williamson. “We believe providing assistance is the most immediate need in our communities, especially given the hardship of job loss. In these uncertain times, we hope to help those through this difficult time and ask others join us in this effort.”

The Beaumont Community Charitable Foundation was created in 2016 and offers the unique opportunity to support our communities and to share in shaping its future by pooling and investing the charitable gift of donors.
