Application Form Opens October 25!
The Big Future Innovation Grant is back for 2022, with applications opening October 25 and closing on November 14 or once 100 applications have been received.
Awarded annually to two Alberta small businesses to support growth and encourage innovation, this grant launched in 2020 and demonstrates how credit unions are there for small business owners across Alberta to help turn your innovative dreams into a reality.
About the Grant
The Big Future Innovation Grant offers an opportunity for two small business owners to each receive a $25,000 grant to support growth and encourage innovation. The grant is a program from Alberta Central, the central banking facility for credit unions in Alberta.
The Alberta Central Big Future Innovation Grant is open only to Alberta-based for-profit small businesses. The application process involves completing an online application form outlining your business profile, marketplace solution, goals, community support, innovation and how you will use the funds.
Once applications close, a shortlist of finalists is selected to make a 15 to 20 minute presentation to a panel of judges. Following the presentations, two winners are selected and granted $25,000 to further innovation with their small business. An account with a credit union is required to claim the grant funds.
